HOW IS OLLI FUNDED?

OLLI is primarily funded by membership and course fees. Donations are used to keep costs low, provide scholarships to those in need, and to help OLLI promote and expand its presence across Lincoln and Nebraska. The Bernard Osher Foundation provided funding for start-up and development and the University provides specific in-kind services and space.

WHAT DOES OLLI OFFER?

OLLI offers over 300 noncredit courses and events each year over five terms from August through July. Along with great courses, OLLI offers many social and cultural events, interest groups and travel opportunities locally, across the United States and internationally. Membership is required to take most courses, attend events and take advantage of all that OLLI has to offer. With membership, you may enroll in as many courses as you like. The OLLI program includes:

  • One-time classes
  • Multi-session courses
  • 5 Terms (2 in the fall, one in the winter, spring and summer)
  • Terms are each 6-weeks long
  • Classes are typically 90-minutes in length, meeting once per week
